Hiya, kids! As Mrs. Beulah Powder used to say, "Tempus just keeps on fugiting." Here's how it went.
My family booked out of SINY as I went off to the U. of Michigan in Ann Arbor, where I enrolled over and over again, majoring in physical science, English, then fine arts, and finally, after deciding what I wanted to be when I grow up, elementary education, earning an ABEd in 2004 - only 34 years late...
In between the cracks, I Peter Panned through life, playing some guitar and bouncing between jobs until a rock & roll buddy hired me as a writer and photographer for his advertising and graphics agency in 1982; words and images have been my trade since, plus a few years of teaching and some rock and mineral business on the side.
It took me 20 years to find someone who was (1) crazy enough to marry me, and (2) not otherwise insane. That would be my wonderful wife, Margaret Campbell. We'll celebrate 30 years together this June; our wedding day was the summer solstice, on a Saturday, with a full moon, an auspicious occasion that happens every 70 years or so. Our family includes my stepdaughter Dorothy, son Jesse, and grandson Will.
Ann Arbor has been home, other than a couple years (1967-69) in Traverse City, Michigan and five years (2007-12) when Margaret and I moved out west to New Mexico. We decided to come back to where there's liquid water in the environment...
